They have been protesting for over 40 days in support of 127 fired co-workers and against the slave-labor conditions of the \u201ccaporalato\u201d labor system. Under this system, hundreds of thousands of desperate workers \u2013 usually migrants \u2013 have been illegally recruited for agricultural labor with little or no pay. Capitalism itself is wage slavery.
