October 5 \u2013 Anti-racist masses shut down Michigan Avenue in Chicago to celebrate the conviction of white cop Jason van Dyke for murdering Laquan McDonald, a black teenager.<\/p>\n
Close to 1200 US cops kill people every year. Before van Dyke\u2019s conviction, only six had been convicted since 2005\u2014and four of those verdicts were overturned.<\/p>\n
Liberal politicians and activists want us to believe that this is a \u201cstep in the right direction,\u201d as one put it. Many of us would like to believe it.<\/p>\n
\u201cI hope this will send a message to other cops who shoot before they think,\u201d said Thad, who is a bus operator for MTA in Los Angeles (USA).<\/p>\n

There will be no police to function as an occupying army in our communities. We workers won\u2019t need to rise up against the system because WE will be running the communist system.<\/p>\n Reform victories \u2013 like van Dyke\u2019s conviction \u2013 don\u2019t take us even a small step forward on the road to communist revolution.
