The Zionists want an Israel “from the river to the sea” where they and their US, UK, and French imperialist backers fully control the plentiful oil and gas off Gaza’s Mediterranean coast. They also need to control the Mediterranean to safely transport oil and gas from northern Africa to Europe for World War III.
The Zionist government took advantage of Hamas’ October 7 attack to displace and murder masses of Palestinians with the full support of US imperialism. These imperialists have backed the displacement, jailing, racist treatment, and killing of Palestinians for 75 years to have Israel serve as UK and US imperialisms’ cop in the Middle East. To guarantee control of the Suez Canal and Middle East oil.
Is Hamas the Solution for Palestinian Masses?
Hamas was founded in 1987 at the beginning of the first intifada, an outgrowth of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood. At critical moments, the Israeli Zionist government encouraged and even funded Hamas to become the leadership of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank in order to nullify the influence of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO). The PLO is a secular organization, originally with ties to the Soviet Union. It seeks to lead a Palestinian capitalist state recognized by the UN.
Hamas supporters claim all Jews are Zionist oppressors, instead of seeing that there are Zionist bosses and Jewish workers. The Jewish masses include anti-racists, whose interests stand with the Palestinian masses.
Netanyahu funded, aided, and encouraged Hamas for decades. Hamas calls for armed struggle against the fascist Israeli state. But they have failed to make and carry out a plan to involve the masses in that struggle, or to protect the masses from the fascist Israeli government.
Their goal is an Islamic fundamentalist Palestinian state like the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Iranian government attacks workers struggling for decent wages or just to be paid. It shot down in cold blood demonstrators in the streets against the hijab law.
Netanyahu stated that with Hamas as the chosen leader of Gaza, there would never be a Palestinian state. Preventing such a state has been one of his main goals.
Armed Struggle for a Capitalist State —or for Communism?
Ismael Haniyeh led Hamas until he was killed recently in Iran by Israel with possible Iranian complicity. He was a billionaire living in luxury in Qatar. He and hundreds of Palestinian capitalists got rich by charging Palestinians in Gaza heavy taxes on all goods imported from Egypt, and from funds received from Israel, Qatar and Iran. This has created a Palestinian capitalist class of millionaires, including some Hamas leaders who still live in luxury, completely separated from the masses.
Both they and the PLO seek to create a capitalist Palestine, ruled by Palestinian bosses. They certainly aren’t fighting to eliminate wage slavery, production for profit, or money – which would require a communist revolution. They aim to become the new capitalist rulers of a “free” Palestine where Palestinian workers would continue to be wage slaves producing profits for them and whichever imperialists support them.
This is the result of all national liberation struggles: workers fight heroically but end up wage slaves of their national capitalists tied to some imperialist.
The only way to end racist, imperialist super-exploitation, oppression and genocide is communist revolution to end ALL capitalist and imperialist rulers and capitalism itself.
We need to build communism. Not “independent” capitalist nations. Not socialism, state capitalism. Socialism keeps the wage system, buying and selling, and money, while creating a new capitalist ruling class. In communism, collective, communist relations will replace money as the glue that binds us together.
We will build a Red Army to defeat the capitalists and imperialists. The Red Army needs the clear goal of communist production for need, not profit. For this, we need to build one mass ICWP worldwide, with collectives especially among industrial and agricultural workers and soldiers to lead the masses to fight for and build communism.
In the area now called Palestine people enjoyed a communistic lifestyle before class society. They produced and shared collectively without exploiters or exploitation. Until the imperialists imposed Zionism and its Nakba, Christian, Jewish, and Muslim Palestinians lived in peace.
Workers everywhere can and will fight for real communism, using science and technology to serve the working class and to re-establish that collective communist lifestyle on a higher level.
