July 13 — “Capitalism in its maximum ‘splendor’. World Wars are always for profit interests without caring about human life,” said Irma. Everyone participated in this informative study group discussion of world war and communist revolution.
The meeting started with Samuel explaining that capitalist economic crisis fuels the need to increase profits by increasing the exploitation of the world’s workers. Capitalism is based on deadly competition among capitalist-imperialists for maximum profit.
Fascist attacks against immigrants in the US and worldwide are to divide and weaken the working class, to terrorize workers into being obedient wage slaves, and to build xenophobia/patriotism for war.
The crisis is triggering wars, conflicts, and rebellions. Mass workers’ rebellions in many countries carry the potential for communist revolution.
Capitalists worldwide are resorting to increasing credit to sustain rapidly growing debt spurred by unsustainable negative economic growth.
The possibilities are a severe economic depression, world war – maybe both – or a workers’ communist revolution to forever end capitalism’s wage slavery and imperialist wars.
Rosario described the terrible attacks on workers’ healthcare and all services.
Samuel explained that we are in a period similar to the build-up for World War II when Japan invaded China, Italy invaded Ethiopia, and the Spanish Civil war occurred when fascists opted for power in Spain.
Bertha said we are in the first stages of expanding World War III. She cited the genocide in Gaza, the war in Ukraine, and the conflict between the US, Israel and Iran. It supposedly “ended” in a ceasefire. But that is only the calm before the coming storm. The US imperialists, the declining world power, are desperate to divide Iran from Russia and China to keep Iran’s oil and gas from going to China by land. They want to divide up Iran.
Beto said that since all the main imperialists, including Russia and China, have nuclear weapons and it would mean mutual destruction, they will not use them. He said world war was a long way off.
But the declining imperialists (US and NATO) are provoking confrontations with their rival imperialists, using their proxies in Ukraine and Israel, among others. This is leading to sharpening confrontations between the imperialists. Unless the working class ends them with communist revolution before war, war will spread. That is the logic and history of imperialism.
Samuel added that the working class everywhere is under attack as the imperialists continue their arms buildup, slashing needed services like healthcare.
In the coming economic crisis and war, international trade will slow to a halt. There won’t be enough food in the cities. There will be rebellions about food.
Imperialists will target large population centers worldwide as the fight between China and the US becomes full blown war. It will affect workers and soldiers everywhere. City people will be forced to go to the countryside for food and survival.
Collectivity and sharing will be the way forward. ICWP can and will grow rapidly as the masses, furious at the capitalist murderers, opt for collectivity to survive.
Irma said that people in the cities can’t adapt to country life and vice versa.
Bertha said, “We will have no other choice. You will have to teach us.” Irma smiled.
Omar said that people can be collective and show solidarity in an emergency. But after the emergency is over, they go back to their old ways of individualism. He said humankind can’t sustain collectivity and a communal lifestyle.
When humans were hunter gatherers in pre-class communism, they survived collectively. But scientific communism needs to be established by ICWP spreading communist ideas and the struggle to get rid of capitalism and all its evils.
Bertha said that’s where communist ideology and organization come into play. We have to fight now for a communist world without money or exploitation. We have to win the masses to see that collectivity and sharing is the only way forward, to abolish wage slavery, competition, and imperialist wars for profit. Even a small group of communists will be able to lead thousands and millions during war and devastation.
What the study group did not discuss, but will next time, is that especially soldiers in all the rulers’ armies become more and more open to communism as the crisis and war sharpens. It will be a choice between killing and dying for the imperialists or fighting for the survival of our class. Masses will choose communism and will produce food and shelter without money.
The study group will continue by discussing the political economy of capitalism that is leading inevitably to full blown World War. And the solution of building a mass ICWP.

Inter-Imperialist Rivalry Prepares for All-Out World War III

The world’s capitalists are transferring national economic budgets from sustainable social services to mayhem war preparations. The international working class is suffering to fund wars that will kill them. Let’s fight back for communism!
Gaza is an example of what will happen everywhere in a world war. So far, the Zionist and US imperialist rulers have killed 425,000 of 2.2 million people there. Almost 20% of Palestinians in Gaza have been bombed or starved to death so that Israel and the US can control gas and oil off Gaza’s coast and in north Africa.
Hundreds who died in the July 4 weekend flood in Texas are also victims of the imperialists’ war budget. The cuts in the US weather service are to pay for bombs for Israel and Ukraine, for more weapons to confront China in the South China Sea, and for ten thousand more ICE agents to terrorize the working class.
The US and its western allies plan on $1.6 T in “defense spending” (war preparations) in 2025. Their budgets increase each year. Meanwhile they will spend only $150 B in Official Development Assistance for the poorer nations from which they extract maximum profits and natural resources. There will be a 28% aid cut in sustainability services in 2026, mostly from the US, Germany, UK, and France.
Almost half of the world’s population lives in countries that spend more on interest payments than healthcare. Plummeting global nutrition aid will result in 163,000 additional children’s deaths.
Only communist revolution will end this racist inequality and carnage!
