In Solidarity with LA Firestorm Victims
Revolutionary greetings comrades.
It is with sadness that we as a collective in South Africa are sending this message of solidarity to all those who lost their homes in the wildfires in LA last month. We are here to affirm the comrades that they are in our thoughts as they struggle to get back to their livelihoods even though we know that things will never be the same again.
We understand the political lackeys in the way politicians did not prepare to combat the fires, even though they knew about the danger, as the high winds are seasonal, and it had not rained for many months. We are, however, not surprised as we know capitalists do not care about the working class and the masses in general. Everything they do is to hoard profit to benefit themselves and kill everyone else.
The support that the affected communities had to show to one another is commendable. It is not surprising to see people help each other in need. That is a communist spirit. This is what we strive for, a society that is organised to meet people’s needs rather than making profit at the expense of others.
This is what we fight for. It is in such tragedies, terrible as they are, that we are motivated to accelerate our fight against capitalism as it kills and destroys our working class siblings. We remain steadfast in our fight against capitalism, and we remain steadfast in our support and extending solidarity to all the affected brothers and sisters. We are fighting for them by cutting down capitalism and its manifestation and we encourage them to continue to do so. Capitalism destroys and kills. We can only have life if we build a future through communism that will liberate us all and bring about a society where protecting lives and homes is our primary goal.
Aluta continua! The fight continues!

El Salvador: Trading Gold for Mirrors
“Living in the ‘land of enchantment’ for the rich oligarchs of this country who own the means of production, slave owners, oppressive of the entire working class,” said R, “creating smokescreens to divert the population’s attention from their greedy capitalist intentions.”
“It is true,” J affirmed. “The government’s courtesy of paying the bills for electricity, mayoral taxes, and water, a decision made by Bukele, is only a blinding veil to silence the masses from his annihilating intentions, to increasingly fill the gold pockets of him and his capitalist fascist henchmen”.
“The rhetoric of class hate speech, used at the convenience of the Bukele government, allows it to justify absurd exchanges,” said D. “Thus, the ‘courtesy’ of paying electricity bills for January 2025, supposedly for 95% of the population, makes sense. This, in the week in which the new metal mining law came into force. This law destabilizes people’s health and dismantles their rural properties. It encourages the use of the territory for the extraction of mineral resources at the expense of environmental impact and, therefore, the destruction of life.”
By its very extractive nature, there is no such thing as “green mining,” “environmentally friendly mining,” or any other similar label. Mining is about exchanging what does not belong to Bukele in exchange for a few million for his “crypto friends”. It is not only environmental deterioration, but also an attack on life.
On the other hand, El Salvador’s geopolitical position, as a poor country, makes it dependent on the ups and downs of imperialist powers. And on the United States and the fantasy of its “backyard” in Latin America. Hence Bukele receiving the US Secretary of State in his mansion, in contrast with the reality of Salvadoran migrants.
It seems that we are again trading gold for mirrors. Mirrors in which an increasingly harsh reality is reflected.
Only Communism Can Abolish Fascist Capitalist Exploitation
We must categorically reject all imperialists, who are only interested in control and their profits. By that same control, they always disguise their intentions, trying to blind us. That is why the ICWP offers the only solution: the direct struggle for a communist society that will free us from capitalism.
Only communism represents a future free of exploitation and poverty. A future where we use our collective power and where the needs of the working class are paramount, not profit and exploitation.
Only communism can defeat all the fascists who are serving murderous capitalism. And thus eradicate the source of profit. Our task is to organize massively so that we can transform the imperialist wars of profit into the revolutionary struggle for communism.
The communist collectives we build today, with strong and broad relations among the masses, are the foundations of the communist world. As ICWP members we must build an international mass party that fights directly for communism, thereby reversing all the damage caused by capitalist society’s exploitation. Join the ICWP and fight with us for the communist society we need.
