A Mass ICWP Will Fight For and Win Communist Workers’ Power

May Day 2025: Join and Build ICWP Collectives to Fight for Communist Workers’ Power

On May Day we celebrate the valiant historical struggle of the international working class against capitalist exploitation. We march on May Day to turn that struggle into a revolutionary fight for communist workers’ power.

These are dangerous times. Wars rage in the Middle East, Ukraine, Myanmar, Sudan, Ethiopia, Congo, and more. The open trade war between the US and Chinese imperialists could quickly expand into full-scale world war.

Wars and environmental crises –caused by capitalism – have turned almost 300 million people into migrants and refugees.

Fascist rulers are more brazen than ever: Trump in the US. Bukele in El Salvador. Milei in Argentina. Modi in India. Orban in Hungary. And of course the Zionist regime in Israel/Palestine. These capitalists are building a mass base for fascism.

But the working masses are unstoppable! Many millions around the globe are angry and fighting back. The resistance in Gaza inspires the whole world.

Walled in, bombed out, starved, deprived of basic health care, mourning the murder of over fifty thousand friends, relatives, children – they refuse to submit.  In Beit Lahiya on March 25, the community rose up: “We demand peace! Let us live!”

Then another danger arose. The discredited nationalist Palestinian Authority quickly printed up signs to turn the demonstration into a protest against its nationalist rival Hamas.  The Zionist occupiers announced half a dozen more locations where Gazans could “protest Hamas.” The world capitalist press misrepresented the original protest as “against Hamas.”

We learn from this how critical it is to be clear on our goals.  There is no peace in an imperialist world.  Only a communist world will let us live fully and freely, without want or fear. That’s why we march on May Day for a communist world. That’s why we invite you to join the International Communist Workers’ Party (ICWP).

It is in the process of building ICWP today that we begin to create and to see the nucleus of the communist world of the future.

There are no borders in ICWP. We are one international party, not a coalition of national parties.  When you join ICWP, you form communist relationships with comrades in other parts of the world. We are responsible to and for each other.

There are no wages or salaries in ICWP. We don’t buy or sell things.  We do Party work because we see the necessity and the opportunity, not for external rewards.  If comrades are in need, we help them as best we can.  Comradely social relationships like these – not money – will cement a communist world together.

Communism will have no wages, markets, money, barter, or exchange.  Instead, we will produce and share whatever the masses need.

There are no bosses in ICWP. No separation between “thinkers” and “doers.”  We make decisions together and agree to carry them out together.  We encourage all members and friends to study history and communist philosophy (dialectical materialism). To learn to analyze our work and world events.  To unite theory and practice.

As we build communist relationships and collectives, we unlearn capitalist habits of individualism, competitiveness, and selfishness.  We learn to listen carefully to comrades and friends. To discern the basis of any disagreements that arise. To work patiently and struggle sharply to resolve them together. We learn to practice comradely self-criticism and criticism.

These skills will serve us well when we win and organize communist liberated zones.

Do you want to do communist work? Party collectives welcome you. We encourage and seek to develop more responsible comrades, especially industrial workers and soldiers. Especially among youth, women, and historically marginalized communities.

The fight against racism, sexism, xenophobia, ageism, ableism, and other divisive ideas and practices is key today as it will be in the future.

We will need armed revolution to overthrow the fascist capitalist system we face today. That means, crucially, organizing for communism among the rank and file in the rulers’ armed forces. The rising tide of resistance within the Zionist military today – as well as revolutionary history – show this can be done.

But mainly, winning a communist world requires building communist relationships within ICWP communist collectives and among wide circles of workers and youth.  If this makes sense to you, please get in touch and tell us you are interested in joining – and in organizing others.
