Israel: From Resistance to Rebellion to Communist Revolution
TEL AVIV (Palestine/Israel), April 20— “Bibi lies, they die,” proclaims a banner on a major Tel Aviv freeway. The atmosphere is volatile. Israeli military police are pushing demonstrators with force and violence. The mounted police behind them are ready to brutalize the demonstrators.
The masses surge back. Friends of ICWP join. They raise, “Bibi lies, children die.” The masses go wild. They got the idea. Now the slogans are, “Bibi lies, workers die,” “Bibi lies, women die.”
ICWP friends try to convert mass anger against Bibi and for the return of hostages into class anger against capitalism and a fight for communism. Many copies of Red Flag are distributed. We learned from past experience that it’s difficult to distribute papers during street battles. So, we started giving out hundreds of small cards with ICWP QR codes. People willingly put them in their pockets.
Israeli society is torn apart. Almost eighty years of violent struggle against Zionist racism is about to come to an end. The question is: can ICWP mobilize the masses for communism by waging an armed struggle of Israeli, Palestinian, and Arab soldiers?
Thousands of Israeli Air Force reservists signed a petition to end the war. Many thousands more supported this petition, including some in the elite Israeli armed forces. Early last week, 140,000 civilians and parents supported them. In spite of Zionist indoctrination, some 40% of 18-20-year-olds have no desire to fight for the Israeli “Defense” Forces.
The Israeli economy is collapsing rapidly. There is no tourism industry. A large number of Israeli citizens have left the country forever. The coveted IT sector is losing its workers. Housing prices are falling; there are no buyers. The war has created massive debt.
The morale of the soldiers who participated in the Gaza genocide is crumbling. PTSD is spreading like a pandemic, with no nurses, doctors, or hospitals to help them.
Resistance can be converted to rebellion. ICWP can turn mass anger against the government into mass anger to destroy capitalism, against borders, and for communism. Nearly 20% of Israelis are of Arab descent and live in fear. The settler violence in the West Bank has galvanized the masses against Zionist murderers. A recent poster shows Netanyahu, Trump, and Bukele as fascists to be sent to CECOT, the concentration camp in El Salvador.
We are taking these battles of winning the masses for communism to our May Day rallies. We now have three safe houses where comrades are inviting workers and students. We will join our comrades in many areas of the world to tear down the walls that separate the working class. Fight for communism. Join ICWP!
