Communist Social Relations in Practice
“Mission accomplished. I feel satisfied to have seen that the Party is not only theory and that solidarity is shown with practice. Ever onward!” These were the words of a worker in the US after a mobilization of a party club of the International Communist Workers’ Party (ICWP) to his father’s house in El Salvador.
An ICWP collective was mobilized in response to the call for help from some comrades who read Red Flag. Education and health sector workers received a request for social and health support.
The support was for a farmer and his family who were mourning the recent loss of one of their children. They also face the health deterioration of one of their members (at the level of the digestive/hepatic system).
It was a task that involved significant logistics, opening communication channels and a trip of almost two hours by road to the house located in the mountains, cradle of revolutionaries.
Many years ago, a comrade pointed out to this young man, “You are going to be the Party doctor in this area.”
Solidarity and social relations among ICWP members and their families is essential to cement the ties that unite us as workers and to strengthen the sense of action of each Party member.
In addition, the practice and theory of social and humanistic medicine is part of the vision of the communist movement in the ICWP. Bringing health to communities by focusing on disease prevention, diagnosis, and timely treatment, with the rational use of necessary and available resources.
In the last semester, comrades in the east and central areas have organized themselves to spend afternoons together in the company of their families and friends. In these gatherings, we share food and drinks and hold political discussions. And, no less important, we get to know how each comrade is doing.
That’s what happened that day. This allows for this family of workers to no longer be alone, or feel alone, when facing disease or the ailments of psychological and spiritual impact that every disease causes on the patient and his family.
“I feel better. The visit of the collective and the doctor is important. Your mind clears, and you feel different,” said the farmer who reads Red Flag.
The family shared lunch with the ICWP collective and listened attentively to the treatment plan. The collective was very enthusiastic and committed to helping their family members heal. What’s fundamental to ensure the greatest possible success of medical treatment is the support of the ICWP, family, and friends.

Factory Workers Inspired by Fight Against Deportations in the US
Workers in our factory have been watching all the great mobilizations of thousands of workers protesting and resisting the deportations of the Trump government. These fascist policies are treating our class siblings as criminals. The solution to this is communist revolution.
This capitalist system attacks us in different ways: through wars, genocide, dismissals, and deportations. It is designed to steal peace and labor power from the working class. But the working class is not standing idly by. We are organizing more collectives of young workers, to radically change this system.
Communist struggle is also intensifying. In our workers’ collectives we have discussed the importance of the distribution of our newspaper Red Flag at this time. We have to penetrate the minds of all workers. We need to be organized.
The actions carried out day by day by the comrades of the ICWP in the different mobilizations have raised the revolutionary spirit in the workers. Many comrades have relatives in the US who are part of the community of millions of Salvadorans and Latinos/as in general, who are suffering racism from powerful groups.
This is not about Republicans or Democrats, but about the rotten capitalist system whose main interest is profits.
The response of the working class inspires us. It has brought new young workers to join the party. We pledge to join forces to fight until we win the struggle for a Communist system.
There is persecution in many countries, and in El Salvador we are under a state of emergency that has criminalized protest in the style of military dictatorships.
The workers’ collectives are fighting to put an end to the xenophobic and criminal policies of corrupt capitalists.
Our struggle is for no person to be called illegal. Communism will put an end to xenophobia and racism; we fight for a world without borders.
All out for the fight for communist revolution!
