This is the latest of many racist police attacks on Black people in this industrial town of 8500 people, 35 miles south of Memphis. Last year a cop threatened Breshari Faulkner with a Taser. He pulled her from her car and arrested her over a handicapped parking space in this same Walmart lot. Two years earlier, another cop was fired for arresting a ten-year-old Black boy for urinating in another parking lot.
Community members demand “Justice for Kohen.” But nothing will bring this baby back to life. There is no justice for workers under capitalism. Capitalist laws protect capitalists’ profits, not workers’ lives. Only communist revolution can end this murderous racist system.
